WOWT-TV is accepting applications for a full-time General Sales Manager.

Description: Directly responsible for the management of the Sales department, including all aspects of current operation and future planning, forecasting, budgeting, sales and marketing. Direct responsibility for all Account Executives and the Local Sales manager to ensure proper orientation, training, development and compensation. Focus on location growth and interdepartmental interaction. The General Sales Manager provides leadership and direction for the sales department.

Qualifications: At least 3-5 years television Sales and management experience preferred. Verifiable strong leadership skills is a must. Strengths in presentation, research and account management required. Energy, enthusiasm and attitude are important.

Must demonstrate strong skills in:

  • Sales Planning/Management;
  • New Business Development;
  • Tracking new and existing business;
  • Interpersonal and Interdepartmental Communications
  • Account Executive Development and Motivation;
  • Rate and inventory management; and
  • Working with National Rep firm.

    Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel spreadsheet required. Additional computer programs include, Matrix, Media Audit, Kronos, Citrix programs, OSI and proficiency in social media programs. Some travel is required.
