SWAAGTV…CHICAGO’s 1st and Only Local Black Broadcast and Streaming Television Station is hiring experienced ADVERTISING SALES ACCOUNT MANAGERS. The money is already printed. You just have to go get it! Every local, regional, national, direct, retail, and ad agency account on television, radio, digital, or OOH is available for you to develop and reap huge financial benefits. This is not for “order takers”. You will work directly with the Owner of SWAAGTV who is a successful media veteran with more than 35+ years’ experience serving in sales and management positions for major media firms.

Successful candidate must be energetic, creative, solution-oriented problem solver who knows how to get after it. Advertisers spend $1 billion+ on local Chicago television, radio, digital, and OOH. How much of it can you bring to SWAAGTV? For the first time, SWAAGTV offers an opportunity for businesses to advertise to Black consumers on their very own Local Broadcast Television Station.

<li>The Advertising Sales Account Manager generates advertising revenue by cold-calling new prospects. By the way…they’re all new prospects. 
<li>Consult potential clients on the merits of marketing to the important $1.5 trillion+ Black consumer market.
<li>Implement successful strategies to consistently grow revenue and achieve revenue targets.
<li>Establish credible relationships with local business decision makers in the community.
<li>Prepare and deliver customized sales presentations to clients.
<li>Explain to customers the effectiveness of television advertising in selling their products and services.
<li>Develop advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station media.
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:

<li>3+ years’ experience in media advertising sales, preferably television
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
<li>Experience with selling Black audience targeted media platforms. Preferred
<li>Excellent relationship building skills with a special talent for new business development
<li>Knowledgeable about marketing to the important Black Consumer Market. Preferred
<li>Experience achieving short and long-range objectives and implementing strategies and actions to achieve them.
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, computers, telephones, scanners, and other office equipment and software.
<li>Proficient with CRM platforms 
<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills
<li>Ability to work well in a team environment.
<li>Brings a desire to win as well as thriving in a collaborative environment. 
<li>Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Compensation: $100,000 to $150,000/year including base salary and sales commissions. 
Employment type: Contract. Remote and in-person.
