KRGV-TV Channel 5 News in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas is seeking a journalist with strong writing skills and social media savvy to join its digital team.
Members of the digital team report, write and edit news stories for KRGV.com. They also post news and information to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social media platforms in English and Spanish.
Digital producers are an integral part of the newsroom. They work closely with reporters, photographers, producers, editors and newsroom management throughout the day to coordinate news coverage, break news and stream events live. Digital producers also work independently, generating story ideas and breaking news on all platforms.
The job requires strong writing skills, knowledge of Associated Press style and solid news judgment.
