The Position on our Team: The AVP, Out-Of-Home (OOH) Media Sales is directly responsible for developing revenues through ancillary media sales derived from third-party out-of-home media buying agencies, experiential agencies, and direct national brand contacts. In addition to direct sales, the AVP, OOH Media Sales supports the department by collaborating on media Request for Proposals (RFP’s), sales presentations, proposal writing and research, and documenting media and experiential agreements.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Develop revenues through ancillary media sales targeting new business relationships with both new and assigned media buying agencies, brands, and other qualified prospects.
  • Develop contact strategies and proposals in order to effectively pitch media opportunities from inception through final negotiation and closing.
  • Manage and coordinate media buys for national retail and business development partners as identified.
  • Target media programs valued at $50,000+ with a goal of securing $3,000,000+ annually in new gross revenue.
  • Identify and qualify media agencies and brands.
  • Articulate media activities to internal Macerich constituents.
  • Continuously grow sales pipeline through cold-calling, networking, and prospecting.
  • Maintain a weekly sales report outlining all on-going activities, prospect clients, and deals going to agreement/execution.
  • Collaborate on budgeting process with Business Development team.
  • All other duties as assigned.

    What You Bring to Macerich:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 10 years of related media sales and marketing experience, preferably direct media sales pitching out-of-home agencies and national brands.
  • Previous experience successfully selling and implementing media programs on behalf of national brands within shopping centers, sports arenas, and other consumer venues preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Power Point, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills are necessary.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, as needed.

    Salary:

    Estimated compensation for this position is: $140,000-$210,000/year + Annual Bonus Eligibility.

    The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment to market data.
