General Sales Manager

Description:  

A heritage Baltimore radio station is seeking a Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategic sales initiatives to maximize advertising revenue across our various platforms. This position requires a proven track record of success in sales leadership, a deep understanding of the media landscape, and a passion for driving results.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive advertising revenue across multiple platforms, including radio, digital, and events.
  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate leads to expand our client base.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and audience insights to inform sales strategies.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in media sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Deep understanding of the media landscape, including radio, digital, and emerging platforms.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop innovative sales solutions.
