We are a growing media company that specializes in working with small business owners, corporations and government agencies. We have an aggressive expansion plan laid out and are looking to find personnel who would love to work in a fun, competitive, positive-minded environment that values your sales skills. We will train you to apply your skills in the print and digital advertising industry.
We have newspapers / media outlets in Columbia, SC (www.CarolinaPanorama.com) and Charleston, SC (www.LowcountryPanorama.com). We are currently looking to expand into the Upstate. Successful candidates can sell advertising products in all three markets, as well as sell digital advertising products nationwide.
We are looking for candidates with tenacity. You must have strong prospecting skills and the discipline to follow up with prospects.
We have extensive tools to help you close deals. For print advertising, our prospecting tool will enable you to instantly create ads and proposals for potential clients. For digital advertising, our prospecting systems creates digital advertising proposals for clients, and we have digital advertising experts on hand to help you close deals anywhere in the United States. We also have a strong CRM system to help you keep track of prospects.

What background and skills do you have?
Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients
Conducting research on potential clients' products or services and determining the geographic location of the majority of their target customers
Setting up meetings with potential clients to present advertising proposals and address their concerns
Assisting the marketing team in the preparation of media kits and promotional plans
Attending sales meetings, trade shows, and training workshops as required
Persuading clients to purchase company advertising products and services by communicating the benefits of various types of advertising
Providing recommendations on suitable formats, advertising mediums, and font sizes
Preparing sample advertisements for clients
Bonus points if you have:
Bachelor's or associate's degree in advertising, communications, or related fields is preferred
1-3 years in solution based selling
Proven experience working as an advertising sales representative
Sound knowledge of marketing principles and techniques
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills
Effective communication skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Print and digital advertising experience
Experience selling services to businesses and government entities
What will you be responsible for?
Consulting with clients and selling advertising, promotions and sponsorship products
Prospecting, identifying, qualifying, cold calling, and closing sales leads
Creating a relationship with clients that helps them reach their goals
Tracking activities through our CRM
