The Enterprise Account Executive K12 Education will be responsible for both acquisition sales and overall account ownership to the K-12 education sector, including education entities that purchase through the E-Rate (USAC) funding program. Establish and effectively manage relationships with school systems and E-Rate consultants to provide 100% fiber-based technology solutions in a three-state region that includes Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.
What you will be doing:
Manage sales processes with district and school-level new business prospects.
Identify client needs and effectively communicate those needs to sales engineering regarding complex customer network design.
Conduct proactive sales activities, including proactive needs assessment, proposal presentation, and order negotiation.
Identify new sales opportunities through the Federal USAC (E-rate) application process
Collaborate with existing K-12 customers on contract extensions and renewals.
The position will require detailed RFP response to prospects, partnering with the MetroNet Proposal Management team.
Collaborate directly with MetroNet Sales Engineering.
Deliver presentations to groups and decision makers in-person and via video conferencing.
Prepare & deliver new customer, renewal, and expansion proposals.
Consult potential customers on purchasing options.
Meet revenue targets on an ongoing basis.
Maintain relationships with the communities that we serve.
Attend occasional trade shows and conferences.
Develop and be accountable for upholding Metronets existing culture that creates a fantastic work environment.
Identify opportunities to implement new and innovative products and services which support business development and client retention.
Ability to work remotely.
Work within Salesforce.
What You Need For This Position:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 - 5+ years experience in remote selling, ideally representing telecommunications-based services to the K-12 education industry, highly preferred.
E-Rate experience is highly preferred.
Proven success and track record of goal attainment in sales in a deadline-driven environment
Experience with fiber-optic communications services that include, but is not limited to, Internet Access, Wide Area Network, Dark Fiber, SIP, Hosted PBX, and managed Wi-Fi.
Demonstrated ability to uncover client needs and propose solutions to close new business opportunities.
Proﬁcient user of CRM (Salesforce), MS Office suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint), video conferencing software and other technology-based productivity tools
Strong analytical, speaking, writing, and presenting skills.
Ability to travel overnighton occasion (an estimated 5-10%).
Contract management experience preferred
Strong communication skills
Financial and business acumen
Excellent computer skills, including advanced spreadsheet and proficiency in learning software
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic work environment
