ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION <li>Contribute to the Company vision of being the industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, courtesy and teamwork <li>Provide management support and instruction to staff in order to meet marketing objectives and measure promotion results with established tracking procedures <li>Keep General Manager informed of all pertinent marketing activity and information <li>Develop local advertising to complement programs and work with ad agencies and printers to ensure accuracy and adherence to Company standards <li>Oversee hiring, training, evaluating and developing a staff to carry out marketing functions <li>Submit marketing reports on activities and results <li>Control expenses by monitoring pricing of vendors and checking invoices <li>Perform other duties as requested by supervisor PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Skills/Abilities and Knowledge: <li>Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner <li>Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks <li>Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure <li>Ability to relate to vendors, advertising agencies, customers and potential customers <li>Ability to supervise and motivate others <li>Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.) <li>Knowledge of cable television products and services <li>Vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus Education (level and type): <li>Bachelor´s degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent experience Related Work Experience: 3 years Marketing experience, preferably in cable or communications industry. 2 years Management experience in sales and marketing environment.
