We are searching for a Photographer/MMJ in our consumer unit who will be responsible for operating various news gathering equipment, including but not limited to live truck, video camera and video editing equipment and who will write, capture visual content, edit and produce stories for multiple platforms on deadline, such as internet and digital channels. You will shoot video and still photos and edit or assist in editing for all multimedia platforms. Setting up and shooting live reports from site or event of mobile broadcast unit is required. You may appear on all media platforms when conducting taped interview or narration. Work cooperatively with a reporter assigned to a story, if one is assigned. Receive assignments or evaluates consumer leads and consumer tips to deliver story ideas. You will gather and verify consumer information regarding stories through intervew, observation and research and work closely with consumer personnel to create, develop and write content. You will organize material, determine slant or emphasis and write stories according to prescribed editorial style and format standards plus write and produce quality news stories for multiple media platforms and give live reports from site of event or mobile broadcast unit. To be successful you must be able to assist consumer producer in preparing consumer story and assist online staff in preparing for multi media stories. You may report, write, capture visual content, edit and produce stories for multiple platforms on deadline, such as internet and digital channels. Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws is needed. You will drive the company vehicle for business purposes and post content to station's web sites Requirements: <li>High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. <li>Minimum three years shooting and editing experience in small and medium market Equipment <li>Able to operate microwave van License/Certificate <li>Valid driver's license and good driving record <li>Must demonstrate video photography and editing skills. NPPA standards. <li>Ability to work with managing editor, producers, reporters, other personnel and the public. <li>Able to lift 50 pounds and work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
