The Promotions Director will manage all aspects of promotional activities for the following stations: 99.9/The Fan, Buzz Sports Radio, and 620/The Ticket. The Promotions Director will work closely alongside the Program Director to assure that the stations execute promotions and events without missing a beat. You MUST be a highly organized individual with exceptional multi-tasking and people skills. This is a VERY fast paced position with daily and sometimes hourly deadlines. You must be able to work at a fast pace while maintaining accuracy.
This person will work very close with our sales department and programming department to make sure promotional fulfillment to our sponsors is executed flawlessly. Additionally, this individual will assure our sports audio platforms are properly represented for all public appearances including staffing, signage/setup, giveaways and point of broadcast.
The Sports Radio Promotions Director will assist with implementation of external marketing and all on-line promotional needs; assist with the execution of station sponsorship on-line, on-site, and on-air. The Promotions Director will also be responsible for maintaining and managing station social media accounts and station website, as well as help manage on-air inventory and writing promotional copy.
The successful candidate must be creative, extremely organized, a self-starter, and a leader with the ability to maintain a strong working relationship with all internal departments, listeners, customers, and clients. There are many times when events and promotions take place on nights/weekends. You must be available to work/manage at this time. Must be able to schedule and manage part-time Promotions Assistants.
A general understanding of radio remote broadcast equipment and experience with interactive sales and external marketing required. Proficient video editing skills and advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is also required. Must have experience organizing and coordinating large golf tournaments from start to finish. Must be able to occasionally lift heavy promotional items and broadcast equipment. A four-year college degree is preferred. A minimum of two years’ experience in radio, television, entertainment industry, or promotions is required.
