Senior Digital Media Manager
: Pittsburgh or Remote US
Viqtory seeks a Senior Digital Media Manager to oversee audience development and digital revenue growth for both G.I. Jobs and Military Spouse brands. (We want to be clear on what we mean by digital revenue in this reference. Digital is one of Viqtory’s four revenue categories, accompanied by Print, Programmatic, Virtual Career Events, and Training & Development. Digital means all digital advertising generated by Viqtory’s media products. These include, but are not limited to, e-blasts, trigger date newsletters, profiles, sponsored content and more. The customers of our digital revenues are institutions, not individual consumers, or Audience members. There could be some additional revenues to be generated from Audience, for example affiliate resume-writing services, but in general we are referring to revenue growth with institutions as customers.) Primary duty will be generating online audience engagement as measured by registered users (RUs) on our website and followers on social media platforms.
The role has voice and content production oversight of G.I. Jobs & Military Spouse’s media properties including website, social media sites, digital magazine, print magazine and newsletters.
Additional shared staff to assist in the execution of duties include creative, digital and copy editing. Must be able to attend events and meet with community leaders in Washington DC periodically. A small amount of overnight travel, perhaps 4-8 times per year is expected.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and create content (web, video, webinars, live streams etc.) that elevates the brand(s) while delivering on performance goals and aligning our content and social media strategy (channels, platforms) to maximize the reach and impact across all brands.
Drive a digital roadmap that considers the objectives and needs of performance and brand marketing teams and is geared towards revenues.
Build a scalable content marketing engine that balances brand, quality, customer need and acquisition.
Serve as internal expert relative to content marketing best practices, content distribution tactics, customer digital journey mapping and content needs, audience targeting, etc.
Analyze content performance and utilize insight to produce better content.
Work highly collaboratively with SEO and share measurable KPIs for organic traffic generation; supporting the company’s SEO goals through content, partnerships, and social media efforts.
Collaborate with Marketing and Direct to Consumer Teams to develop partner-driven content and distribution opportunities that align with brand and business marketing initiatives.
Identify, create, and repurpose content to support sales, acquisition and lifecycle marketing needs through campaigns, landing pages, blogs, etc.
Manages multimedia content—develops new content, coordinates addition of new content, maintains existing content, and increases viewership.
Maintains, analyzes, and trains stakeholders in web analytics (Google analytics, email metrics, etc.) to continually improve web content and user experience.
Analyze and translate qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social campaigns.
Develop, expand and manage the community and influencer outreach efforts.
Create and maintain editorial calendar for digital properties (websites/social/email) and printed materials, including white papers.
Knowledge of Wordpress support including graphic, HTML, updates.
Deep understanding of Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, Instagram and other established and emerging social platforms
Marketing Automation (Mailchimp) (throughout marketing funnel and post sale nurturing_)
Content Marketing (Video, Short and Long form Blog posts, Livestreams, guides)
Data / Competitive Intelligence & Analysis (SEMRush, AHerfs, Google Search Console etc)
Heavy Social growth
Digital Marketing Specialist
Video Specialist (downstream)
And any other duties as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Passion for the military community.
7 – 8 years of professional experience in a content, media or digital revenue strategy role
Proficient in producing content for video, social, mobile, paid
Proficient in affiliate marketing, marketplaces and channel partnerships
Experienced in interpreting content and digital channel metrics. Additional experience in interpreting social listening a plus
Be obsessed with understanding consumer behavior
Deep understanding of current and emerging products and digital experiences and the opportunities for content
Strong storyteller. Able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
Design experience via user research, user experience, interaction design a plus
Comfortable with ambiguity. Able to shape challenges and problems
Able to anticipate problems before they arise
Excellent attention to detail
Strong networking and leadership abilities.
