Salem Media LA has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Sales Manager to join our dynamic and forward-thinking sales team.
The ideal candidate will showcase his or her strategic and entrepreneurial expertise by leading a team of Digital Media Strategists and executing a digital sales strategy that delivers customized customer solutions through an integrated suite of media platforms. People leadership and mentoring are important to this role. This position reports to the Director of Sales
The Digital Sales Manager will be accountable for meeting and exceeding the markets digital revenue goals and will work in partnership with other managers to create cross-platform programs that generate results for clients.
The DSM will be the leading internal expert and resource for all things related to digital media while influencing, training, and managing Media Strategists on growing digital revenue and business development streams. Digital initiatives include CPC, e-mail marketing, SEM (Google Ads), display, streaming, geo-fencing and other digital products, while the DSM continually tracks metrics to ensure growth and utilization of the full product set assuring a positive experience for the client, consumer and overall brand.
Work with our partner vendors providing a clear path for our Media Strategists on-going training, product updates, reporting, all optimization efforts and campaign renewals while executing a clear path for all process related activity that ultimately ensure sales and client success.
Proactively monitors and manages campaigns to make appropriate adjustments to improve performance and ongoing optimization for all digital accounts.
Attends sales calls with Media Strategist as needed to help them prepare and deliver customer-centric solutions.
Conduct and lead weekly sales meetings providing product trainings, client success stories, objections and role-playing activities.
Attends/hosts weekly sales meetings and training sessions to implement go-to-market strategies for a variety of digital products.
Provides on-going recommendations to Media Strategists and clients to upsell and cross-sell our vast product offerings. Customer satisfaction is the top priority.
Manages performance of a team of direct report Media Strategists as assigned by the Director of Sales.
Oversight of internal workflow process.
Responsible for revenue forecasts and reporting
Must have 2+ years of media-related experience selling digital platforms as well as previous sales management experience.
Prior radio, TV or other traditional media experience preferred but not required.
Extensive knowledge of digital sales processes, digital platforms, technical markets, distribution channels, buying patterns, and budgeting.
A proven track record of strong digital sales management and effective closing skills.
History of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable environment through strategic thinking, tactical implementation, and effectively managing multiple projects.
A confident personality and sense of urgency while being a creative and innovative thinker.
The willingness to embrace change, encourage innovation, and solve problems creatively.
