Radio Programming/Traffic Coordinator

Penn State Behrend is seeking a Programming/Traffic Coordinator (Media Consultant, Level 1) for WPSE AM 1450/FM 107.1, a commercially licensed radio station operated by the college. The station provides 24-hour business and financial news as well as commentaries by regional business leaders.

Under the supervision of the station's General Manager, the coordinator will be responsible for scheduling broadcast programming and commercial inventory sold by the station. Among other duties, this will entail the creation of daily program logs, completion of network affidavits, and management of changes in programming. The coordinator will also perform audio editing, as needed, to support the station's production team. Experience with WideOrbit radio station automation software and Marketron's Visual Traffic system are preferred, although skills training in the use of these software platforms can be provided.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail; ability to meet ongoing deadlines; strong self-management and interpersonal communication skills; and a problem-solving approach to work.

This position typically requires an associate degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
