James Moore & Co. is currently working with a client in the broadcasting industry that is seeking a Traffic Manager/Office Manager for several radio stations based in Gainesville, FL. Build your skills while working closely with a creative team and expanding your media business knowledge.

A hands-on position, the Traffic Manager/Office Manager maintains constant and effective communication with the director, account executives, media buyers, networks, distribution facilities, clients, and creative partners. He/she deploys commercial advertising, which involves configuring, monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing online and stream ad campaigns, utilizing emerging technology, applying campaign strategy, and providing unsurpassed customer service.
Traffic Manager responsibilities include:
Handles all aspects of the station including placing bumped spots, rearranging spots on log in non-competitive slots, assigning cart numbers on production orders, making sure all copies are turned in, adding daily networks to log, changing computer data when necessary.
Produces daily commercial logs by obtaining information, importing orders, and capturing commercial advertising schedules.
Enters commercial advertising schedules and maintains database by reviewing and resolving error reports with the ultimate goal of optimizing revenue.
Schedules and tracks commercials for optimum spot placement in order to achieve maximum revenue.
Daily preparation and maintenance of program logs, continuity scheduling and reconciliation reports.
Interfaces with Sales Management regarding inventory issues.
Collaborates with management, Account Executives and Sales Support to ensure commercial spots are executed in accordance with contract provisions.
Monitors changes and resolves traffic discrepancies.
Manages flow of information and service inquiries in systems.
Coordinates with other departments to maintain commercial inventory and to provide billing information.
Updates Sales Managers on available inventory.
Plans and schedules to meet all require deadlines (daily, weekly and monthly).
Resolves problems among Sales, Continuity, Programming, Traffic, and Accounting.
Posts logs on a daily basis, and prints log reports and files on a monthly basis.
Completes all network production (e.g., barter spots, affidavits).
Data entry/upload of Katz and Network orders.
Completes affidavits for programming in a timely manner.
Creates schedule for remote broadcasting teams.
Office Manager responsibilities include:
Prepares financial documents such as invoices, and manages accounts payable and receivable.
Processes business expenses and reimbursements.
Processes payroll for all employees.
Ensures all governmental requirements are met (e.g., filing necessary forms and documents with the FEC or IRS).
Manages office staff and ensures smooth office operations.
HR Ė Assists with new hire/termination documentation
Assists with various creative and office projects.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a small to mid-size company. Experience in a professional office environment is a must, and experience in the broadcasting industry is a plus. In addition, the successful candidate will possess the following skills/attributes:
