Local Sales Manager plans and assists in all sales and revenue related driving activities of an assigned entity.


  • Provides leadership that maintains all functions; interacting at all levels to ensure success in achieving business goals and objectives.
  • Ensures budgets are maintained and monitors rate structure.
  • Leads sales team, works with production, accounting operations and related personnel.
  • Monitors progress to ensure quality work.
  • Reviews and approves all advertising sales reports.
  • Monitors advertising availability inventory.
  • Acts as main contact for all business sales related functions (revenue and expenses).
  • Works with a direct report on all departmental salaries and expenses.
  • Assures maximum utilization of all operating resources.
  • Researches new business opportunities. Presents opportunities to supervisor.
  • Cooperates with all Viamedia systems and other respective partners in the areas of marketing, technical and operations needs to ensure the success of both organizations.
  • Interfaces with cable system operations on joint projects.
  • Ensures all company EEO policies and procedures are followed.


  • Bachelor°¶s Degree in Sales or Marketing or Business or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of media sales or cable operations experience.
  • Ability to motivate others and to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to travel as required.
  • Must have keen awareness of competitive conditions.
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
