KTVQ in Billings Montana is seeking a Digital Director to lead local sales and operations for all digital media business lines with a particular focus on advertising sales and new business development.
We are seeking a person who has a passion for innovation, customer service, and exponential revenue growth in interactive media. Excellent verbal, written and visual communications skills; presentation skills; and interpersonal communications skills are a must. This position places a high premium on internal and external relationship building and a broad working knowledge of the fundamentals and emerging trends in digital media.
Experience:The Digital Director should have the following, or comparable, skills, abilities and experience:
A bachelorís degree in business, marketing, or related field. A masterís degree is a plus.
Minimum 2 years sales experience, preferably in digital and/or media services and preferably at the management level.
Minimum 3 years experience in media and or marketing Ė broadcast, interactive, print Ė preferably with local emphasis.
The digital director oversees digital operations, sales products and strategies including but not limited to: web, social media, email, SEO/SEM, interactive small/medium business solutions, promotions, and mobile initiatives. She or He will work closely with station executives, sales management, salespeople and news directors to achieve the assigned revenue and expense budgets.
To achieve this, the Digital Director:
Develops business plans for interactive product/service revenue lines from advertisers to meet and exceed digital sales goals and budgets.
Develops and tracks local digital department budget.
Recruits, hires and manages the Stationís team of digital media specialists
Coordinates the implementation of new products to ensure that sellers have digital tools to deliver real results for advertisers at a reasonable level of profitability for the station.
Collaborates with station management to identify and address all issues regarding cross-platform strategies and workflow.
Provides on-site interactive sales training for Account Executives and Digital Media Specialists.
Works with Account Executives to call on national and local interactive advertising customers to identify opportunities, qualify prospects, and work through the sales stages to close accounts.
Manage pricing structures for interactive products to maximize revenue for KTVQ while also delivering an expected ROI for advertisers.
Develops and rolls out superior sales collateral materials.
Establish and lead consistent, ongoing, productive communication relating to interactive sales and operations among station executives and sales management.
Gather market intelligence the regions economic conditions, sales opportunities and all other matters relating to growing interactive business.
Provide weekly status reporting to station executives.
