    JOB PURPOSE: Lead and support regional advertising sales efforts to increase revenue and client base in our Midco Sports Network, Digital, and General Network Advertising product lines while promoting retention and optimal client satisfaction.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead, develop, and supervise all Advertising Consultants within the regional team.
  • Sell all components of advertising services to new and existing clients.
  • Increase client retention by ensuring superior customer service and support.
  • Develop and deliver professional, effective sales presentations.
  • Prepare accurate, comprehensive estimates and contracts for customers.
  • Set goals and monitor individual and team progress and achievements. Set daily, monthly, and weekly goals designed to reach department expectations.
  • Coach team members on best practices to promote career development and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide timely performance feedback and coaching according to company and departmental policies in one-on-one meetings, annual performance reviews, and as necessary to deal with disciplinary and/or performance problems.
  • Produce and analyze timely and accurate daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Mentor and assist team members in identifying and recruiting new customers in all service areas.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect with potential and existing clients, within your department, and within the community.
  • Be willing and able to travel in accordance with Midco’s “Use of Vehicle for Company Business” policy.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
  • Adhere to Midco’s privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
  • Maintain regular attendance to be available to provide direction and communication to team members.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years of previous sales experience required.
  • 2-3 years of sales management experience preferred.
  • Possess strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 30 lbs.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
  • Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
  • In-person visits to a customer’s place of business are normal in the performance of this job.
  • Specific abilities required include accessing a customer's place of business by stairs or elevator, operating doors or other entrances, navigating hallways and buildings, etc., and adapting successfully to a constantly changing environment.
