Develop and maintain solid client relationships for continued sales growth.

&lt;P&gt;ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
&lt;li&gt;Contribute to the Company vision of being the industry leader in customer service through
quality, commitment, courtesy and teamwork.
&lt;li&gt;Generate revenue by contracting sales for airtime through telemarketing, cold calling, prospecting and networking; maintain sales goals and meet quotas. 
&lt;li&gt;Prepare sales proposals to include advertisement layout, script, proposed fee schedule, time frame for completion and other related requirements. 
&lt;li&gt;Monitor and service existing accounts through service calls and follow up. 
&lt;li&gt;Monitor client payments on accounts; call on clients with past due accounts when necessary. 
&lt;li&gt;Copyright and produce advertisement to include script, advertising layout, editing, and coordination with traffic and production departments. 
&lt;li&gt;Complete necessary paperwork including sales orders, contracts, and other sales reports. 
&lt;li&gt;Prospect new business and develop positive relationships with clients and in the community. 
&lt;li&gt;Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

&lt;P&gt;PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Skills/Abilities and Knowledge:
&lt;li&gt;Ability to meet and work within strict deadlines.
&lt;li&gt;Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner. 
&lt;li&gt;Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks. 
&lt;li&gt;Ability to listen and interpret the needs of the customer. 
&lt;li&gt;Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.

&lt;li&gt;Anchor newscasts; clearly and concisely report information; perform impromptu conversation as necessary.
&lt;li&gt;Gather and write news content for multiple platforms, including posting stories on the Internet.
&lt;li&gt;Report live on location from various news events.
&lt;li&gt;Connect on camera with a sense of urgency.
&lt;li&gt;Research and develop news stories.
&lt;li&gt;Perform various community service activities for station, including performing as master of ceremonies for public service events and as host/hostess for station events.
&lt;li&gt; Periodically required to drive personal or company vehicle to cover various assignments.
&lt;li&gt;Demonstrate strong news judgment, knowledge of journalistic ethics, libel law and organizational skills.
&lt;li&gt;Work productively under intense pressure and deadlines.
&lt;li&gt;Receives assignment or evaluates news leads and news tips to develop story ideas.
&lt;li&gt;Gathers and verifies factual information regarding stories through interveiw, observation and research. 
&lt;li&gt;Organizes material, determines slant or emphasis and writes story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards.
&lt;li&gt;Shoots video and still photos to illustrate stories.&lt;li&gt;Edits or assists in editing, videos for all multimedia platforms.
&lt;li&gt;Perform other duties as needed and assigned. 

&lt;P&gt;Requirements:
&lt;li&gt;BS/BA in related discipline.
&lt;li&gt;Generally 5+ years experience in related field.
&lt;li&gt;Valid driver&apos;s license with no more than four (4) points in the past 36 months, in accordance with station policy, and proof of insurability (must carry liability limits of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per accident/$50,000 property)
&lt;li&gt;Should be familiar with computerized newsroom. 
&lt;li&gt; Must be an excellent communicator and storyteller. Must have keen sense of logistics and ability to work well under intense pressure. Must have good creative and editorial judgment. Flexible work hours required, including holidays, weekends and evenings. Travel required. Knowledge of iNews computer system preferred. 
&lt;li&gt;Computer literacy required, including newsroom computer systems. Videography and non-linear editing experience preferred.
&lt;li&gt;Knowledge of broadcast quality camera equipment.
&lt;li&gt;Edit video on Final Cut Pro editing systems or similar equipment.
&lt;li&gt;Strong broadcast and AP style writing skills.
&lt;li&gt;Proficient at posting content to various websites.
